STEM Tour at Samsung

STEM Day Tour at SAMSUNG on Friday, September 14th, 2018!

Register early since space is limited.

Here’s a great opportunity for high school students (ages 14 & older) to learn about semiconductor manufacturing, see inside a fab, and ask questions to engineers!  Semiconductor Technology is important, not only to the Austin economy, but to every electronic device that we use every day.  See the sample agenda below.

• No cost to participate.  

• Pre-registration required by August 31, 2018.

• Students arrive by 8:45 AM. 

• Tour concludes by 2:00. 

• 25 maximum student participants. 

• All attendees must submit a photo release form (sent via DocuSign before the tour).

RSVP by August 31st by completing the form below or sending an email to Cheryl.Quartaro@gmail.com. 

Please include the following:

1) Student’s name and high school grade equivalent (9th, 10th, 11th or 12th)

2) Parent’s name, email and phone number

3) Any special dietary or mobility needs

Students will be dropped off in front of the building.  Carpooling is encouraged.  Parking is very limited, and we are only allowed 3 adult chaperones.  Let me know if you are a parent and would like to chaperone. Parents with students with special needs will be given priority.

***NOTE**** SAMSUNG does not allow any cell phones or electronics of any kind into the building.  You will be asked to leave those in your car or check them at the security desk.  Adults MUST present a valid ID to receive a visitor badge.  All visitors must be escorted at all times.

A light breakfast and a pizza lunch will be provided.
